Segment 2

This course provides a minimum of 6 hours of classroom instruction with a certified Michigan Driver Education Instructor

• A driving log is needed to verify that the student has completed a minimum of 30 hours of driving 
• The student must have held a level 1 license for at least 3 continuous months
• If the following requirements are completed by the last day of the course the student is now eligible for their Road Test

You must have had your level 1 license for 6 months and 50 hours of driving (10 hours being at night) and your certificate of completion for Segment 2 in order to take the Road Test. If you have all of this there is no wait needed following Segment 2.
